In the afternoon of December 4, Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto and Markham Buddha’s Light Centre simultaneously held the 2016 Toronto Buddhist Examination. There were 465 peoples registered to take the exam, the highest record over the years.  This year’s Buddhist exam questions were based on "Humanistic Buddhism, Holding True to the Original Intents of Buddha".  The purpose was to test everyone’s understanding of Humanistic Buddhism.  The exam prompted everyone to study the book, "Humanistic Buddhism, Holding True to the Original Intents of Buddha"; enabling everyone to realize deeper the greatness of the Buddha.

There were over 300 peoples taking the exam at the Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto.  The main shrine became the exam hall for the adult Chinese group A, B, C; adult English group A, B; and the young adults.  Chinese dictation group took place in the conference room on the second floor.  The dining hall was designated to the children comic group A, B and the teenager group A, B.  At Markham Buddha’s Light Centre, more than 100 peoples participated in the exam, distributed in the meditation hall and the multifunctional classrooms.
