Red Hatters visit Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto Enjoyed Learning about Humanistic Buddhism

February 16, 2020 a perfect weather day. Eleven ladies wearing red hats, purple dresses and sparkly jewelry visited Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, caught everyone’s eyes following them.  They are members of the Red Hat Society, the Red Hat - Dazzling Damsels, visiting the temple to learn about Humanistic Buddhism first hand.

They not only experienced the peaceful and magnificent Buddhist architecture, but also explored to the Buddhist culture and teachings.  They were fascinated with the new experiences and asked lots of questions.

Why are there so many Buddha statues?  How many Buddhist traditions are there?.....

Grace, the volunteer temple tour guide, admired the Red Hat Ladies’ intercultural respect, open-mindedness, and curiosity attitude.

Red Hat Society enthusiastically connects, empowers and transforms the lives of women approaching 50 and beyond through the power of fun and friendship. It has been giving women a renewed outlook on life.
